Birth Kweens

Nov 7, 2019

This week we’re talking with physical therapist and women’s health specialist Dr. Lauren Mallari-Snyder, PT, DPT about pelvic organ prolapse. Lauren works primarily with people who are pregnant or postpartum and handles issues spanning from neck, to vagina, to the gym and all things in between. She’s been a PT for almost 8 years and has been trying to change the world one pelvic floor at a time. She and her husband, Aaron, own their own PT practice in San Diego called Thrive Physical Therapy. In this episode, we cover what a prolapse is, what organs can be involved in the various types of prolapse, and how common it is to experience one after giving birth. We also explore the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of prolapse.
